TROUBLE Perform First Full-Length Shows Since Rejoining Forces

Veteran Chicago doomsters TROUBLE made a triumphant return to the live stage on May 3rd and May 4th at RockHouse USA (formerly Riley's Rock House) in Aurora, Illinois when they performed their first full-length headlining sets since reuniting with vocalist Eric Wagner early last year. By all accounts, the band was in fine form as they ripped through most of the group's classics, including "At The End Of My Daze", "The Tempter", "Bastards Will Pay", "Pray For The Dead" and "Memory's Garden", among others. Although TROUBLE didn't perform any freshly-penned compositions, they did run through renditions of "Going Home" and "Doom Box", both of which were demoed in the mid-90s but not officially available on a proper album release.

As previously reported, TROUBLE have thus far written nearly an album's worth of material for the band's long-awaited comeback CD (the follow-up to 1995's Plastic Green Head),tentatively entitled Seven, but will continue to compose tracks for the foreseeable future before making plans to enter the studio to record the effort. The quintet have received several offers to play the summer festivals in Europe, including a rumored Wacken Open Air Festival appearance, but have reportedly opted to pass on them as they continue working on the album, which is tentatively due in early 2003.

TROUBLE's next headlining gig will take place at The Penny Road Pub in South Barrington, Illinois on May 18th.
